View Full Version : slow resonse on high-lighted files or directories

XP PRO, the system is an intel HP 2.6 256meg-ram, has sluggish action
whenever files or directories are hightlighted and a righ clik to bring up
the action pannel - usuall delay is 6-12 seconds for the acton pannel to come
up, choice of action seams to be prompt, like delete - does anyone have a fix
for this ?

chkdsk /f c:
say y
reboot
then do an offline file defrag using perfectdisk from www.raxco.com (free
trial version)
then do a defrag again using the quick option
then do a normal ms defrag

Right-click is slow or weird behavior caused by context menu handlers:

Right-click is extremely slow only when Network is enabled:
