Hi,

I recently had to reinstall XP due to new hardware(MB,
CPU, RAM) and since reactivating it says on my desktop "
for testing purposes only. Build 2600.xpsp2.....etc".
Does anyone know why and how to get rid of it? I like a
clean desktop and that is annoying.

Thanks

Mike

Hi Mike,

Start/run certmgr.msc

Expand on Trusted Root Certificate Authorities, click on the Certificate
folder, look for Microsoft Test Root and delete it from the right-hand pane.
