About once a month I get a notice on my desktop that a
Windows update is ready for download. I click on the icon
and a download is sent and installed. I cannot figure out
what theses mysterious downlods are doing for my
computer. I don't see any changes in my PC's performance.
In fact I see some negative effects. ie... my screen
savers will not stay on the screen. When I leave my PC
for long periods, the screen in blank upon my return.
What is going on? I hope someone else has a similar
experience, and that there is a fix out there. I am
getting more and more frustrated with Windows XP every
day.
