View Full Version : Deleted rundll32.exe by accdent please help

I accdently deleted Rundll32.exe from my windows folder,
does anyone know how to get it back, like a Download
website or something, i want to try and repair it with
the windows repair CD, but i forgot which F key to press
when starting up the computer, Please Help!

Open a command prompt and use the expand.exe command to copy the
rundll32.exe from the CD (drive x:).

expand x:\i386\rundll32.ex_ c:\windows\system32\rundll32.exe

If you did the deletion from within Windows XP, a copy of the file
is backed up in the windows\system32\dllcache folder and will be
restored the next time you boot the computer. If there is no copy
there, you can run "sfc /scannow" from the Run box of the Start Menu
to restore any missing system files while the Windows XP CD is in
the drive.
