HELP PLEASE
April 12th 05, 03:57 AM
I've tried several different docs, black only, color, etc. Have done deep
clean on print head, replaced print cartridge, etc. Nothing seems to work.
My color inks are printing fine. HELP!!!!!!

Remove the black ink cartridge and then try to print a black only document.
If the printers ink sensor is working properly it should come up with an error
message that there is no black cartridge installed. If nothing happens, then
the printer sensor is not working and your printer is ready for the scrap
heap.
To repair an inkjet printer will cost more than a replacement unit.

Call Canon and request a new print head under warranty.

Cari pointed you in the right direction. The printer is still under warranty.
Did you Register the printer with Canon? Suggest you contact Canon or the
vendor from where you purchased it and tell them exactly what you just
posted. They should reply by either telling you to return the printer for a
replacement or what your next step is. Good luck. :~)
