when i turn off my pc i get a masg. "your virtual menory
is low win. is increcing the paging file", and the cable
internet is very, very lower. When I go to system
Properties>Performance,Settings>Advanced, the paging file
size is 384 MB. When I go to >Change the initial size is
set to 384 (MB), andd Max size is 956 (MB. At Space
available it has 28308. so I go to "Custom size" and make
Initial size (MB) 192 and Max size (MB) 384. that fixes
the cable speed, but when i clik apply to apply the
changes i made i get a mesg. something like "if less then
255 may not run debugging in case of error" and must
restart. Any help why this happenes? did i do the right?
and what is this debugging that it can not run? should i
have to restart even though im youing XP not win89?

That specific problem - low virtual memory error at shutdown (and only at
shutdown) has been associated with the Live Update feature in Norton
Internet Security.

Symantec has posted a fix for this problem. Download the file LRSETUP.EXE
from http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/files/lu/lu.html and run it.

Good luck

The error message means that your page file must be at least as
large as your installed memory if you want to use the full memory
dump when you have a fatal crash. The current memory is copied to
the hard drive before shutdown. When you restart the dumped memory
file is uploaded to Microsoft if you so desire. From the message,
it appears that you have at least 28 GB of disk space available and
your installed memory is 256 MB. The megabyte difference is for
real mode emulation. You have enough hard drive space to let
Windows manage your page file.
