I have installed a Maxtor 120 GB hd, the drive exists and
is accessible, but Windows keeps finding new hardware and
tries to find drivers for the drive, when it can't I then
get a message saying the drivers couldn't be loaded and
the device may not work properly. In "device manager" the
drive is shown with a yellow !......any suggestions to
solve this would be appreciated

Is this a second hard drive added to one already in the computer? How did
you attach it to the computer...WHich IDE Channel, Slave or Master or Cable
select, etc. Have you tried using a new cable? did you use a cable rated
for DMA66 (40 pin) or DMA100 (80 pin)? Did you set the jumpers on all
drives appropriately?
