Over the past several weeks, I have noticed a SIGNIFICANT
increase in the time it takes applications to initialize
and the frequency that applications like IE and Outlook
Express and media players are shutting down
involuntarily. I keep McAfee Viruscan online and up to
date and have run several scans to make sure I am not
infected. I still have plenty of free disk space (40000
gig) and RAM available (512 Meg). I do not know what to
do now to ascertain the problem so that I can return to
fast computing...

Suggestions?
