Hi, I have a WindowsXp Professional CD that includes SP1 and am trying to
create a SP2 slipstreamed CD and would appreciate help.
I downloaded and installed the nLite program and then downloaded the
WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU (SP2) file and stored it in a folder that I named
Downloads.
I opened nLite and was asked to locate / browse
to the WindowsXp SP2 folder but when I navtigated to the Downloads folder,
the WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU file (that I downlaoded and stored) was NOT
there.
I would appreciate further help / instructions what to do next to create a
SP2 CD?
Thanks, Bob

Maybe nLite isn't as good as people think if it can't even keep track of a
downloaded file.

Listen to James Fisher.
AutoStreamer..

Or use the manual instructions from Microsoft on integrating service packs
and patches (search the Microsoft web page.)

This worked for me and you don't need nlite.

I've used both Autostreamer and the manual method to create slipstreams.
Both work fine.
I wanted to try Autostreamer just to see what all the fuss was about. <g>

Hi guys, as you can tell, I am new to this and found AutoStreamer much easier
to use but still appear to have a problem. Autos=Streamer asks me for my
WindowsXp CD which I place in the CD-ROM Drive and is recognized and then
asks me for the location of the SP2 files that were downlaoded and I "point"
it to WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU files. I then click to continue and after a
few minutes, I click on the EXIT icon. My question is WHAT'S next? Where is
the SP2 Slipstream file located and how / what do I do to install it on my
system (that currently has SP1)? Also, I have another semi-unrelated
question. How do I reinstall corrupted / lost WindowsXp files? Thank you
again for your help. Bob

Thanks James but when I use the link I currently have
http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/1092632287/1 I arrive at the download
page for AutoStreamer. What problem are you seeing?

My bad, Harry.
The bottom half of the page was slow to load, so I assumed it had been
moved. I just retried it and it's fine.
