I'm deploying Windows Messenger 5.1(.0640) with SMS 2003. It's a per-user
installation. The user can initiate the install by elevated priveleges, but
the install is interupted at the MSI-action PreUninstallOldWindowsMessenger.
And this causes the whole installation to fail.
Our desktop environment is WinXP (MUI NL) + SP1. First i thougth that i
needed the MUI-pack for Windows Messenger to install. Because when i take a
look in de installer log-file there's a line with "1: DeleteMUIDirectory: MUI
Pack not installed"
The next line says "PreUninstallOldWindowsMessenger. Return value 3."
But installing the MUI-pack requires the latest version of Windows Messenger
to even start!
Can you help me?
