System slowing down

After installing the service pack 1 for Windows XP Pro. I
have noticed that my system is running much slower now
than it was before I installed the service pack. Does
anyone know if there is a patch for this problem, It
appears to be a memory leak.

From what I understand there is a Patch for it but you have to call
Microsoft in order to get it. Read that in a PC mag from
the UK for what it's worth.
