Computer shuts down automatically

Can someone please help me with this problem.I leave my
computer running during the day to download data but when
I return on evenings, I find the computer shutdown. I live
by myself so that eliminates the possibility that someone
manually switches it off. I think ,most likely it is a
software problem but I checked the different setting and
made adjustments and there was still no change.
