Hi Guys
Hope someone can help.
If I reinstall Windows XP Home [slipstreamed sp2] on C: drive will I have
to format the harddrive [E: drive] which I have already connected to a SATA
connection? and thus losing all the data which is on it.....OR is there a
way round this?
Thanks....

Reinstall? As in Clean Install?
Repair Install? As in "to fix some underlying issue"?

The information is provided "as is", it is suggested you research for
yourself before you take any advice - you are the one ultimately
responsible for your actions/problems/solutions. Know what you are
getting into before you jump in with both feet.

No, installing to C: should have no effect on the contents of E: but if
you are concerned about it you can disconnect the SATA drive during the
installation. At least that way you can be certain nothing will touch it
and you won't somehow make any mistake that might put Windows on it, or
worse, accidentally format it.
