View Full Version : How Can I Delete Extraneous Printer Share Names from Network Under WinXP Pro SP2

I have experienced difficulties installing a HP printer on my network under
WinXP Pro SP2. In the process, I wound up having to run the printer
installation several times, and still it hasn't installed properly. Each
time I ran the printer installation, I chose the option to set it for
printer sharing.

It connects to the network via a USB port on one of the computers in the
network. Now, I need to reinstall it again, However, When I checked my
other computers in my LAN, I discovered that there are now quite a few
repetitions of the same Share Name, none of which work because the printer
is not setup on the computer to which it's connected.

So, before reinstalling the printer, I need to get rid of all these existing
share names, though I don't have a clue how to do that.

So, I shall greatly appreciate your help getting rid of these extraneous
Share Names.
