I can't save changes to my power schemes. I have a
profile called "Always On", which never turns off hard
disks, never enters standby and never hibernates. If I
try to change one of these options and save it, a dialog
pops up that is titled "Power Policy Manager unable to set
policy". The body of the box is the yellow triangle with
exclamation point and the cryptic error
message: "Indicates two revision levels are incompatible".
System: Pentium 3 800MHz Intel DE815EEA motherboard BIOS
current.
UPGRADED from Win98SE to Win XP Pro SP1
512MB RAM
I originally noticed this when using remote desktop and
the power properties would seem to change at random when
first connecting to the session. Seems like the two
problems are related somehow. Any ideas?
