One of our Senior Members wants to put the contents of a folder that she has
in My Pictures to have the pics there for use as wallpaper.

I can advise her on how to do each one individually but I don't know how if
multiple pictures can be put there in the one action.

She is using XP Pro

Any assistance please?

Simply copy each individually into 'my pictures' and they will appear in the
Display Properties applet of Control Panel where the other wallpapers are
shown (remove them from the folder they are in, in other words)

Hi Joe,

She can do as many as she pleases at once. Use either a left-click & drag to
surround the ones to be copied, or ctrl+click to select them. Then
edit/copy, go to the new folder and edit/paste.

You do not need to do anything if you are not sharing wallpapers with
different users, any picture/image in "My Pictures" folder even if it is
located in a subfolder of "My Pictures" will display as a Wallpaper
image. If you are sharing Wallpaper images then the files should be
located in the Windows (%Systemroot%) directory.

There are many ways to move multiple files, one way is to hold the CTRL
button while selecting the required files with the mouse then copy and
paste the files.

I don't know whether I'm confusing you guys or you're confusing me, but
guide me on this please.

I right click on a vacant spot on the Desktop, select Properties/Desktop. I
click Browse and go to My Pictures find a pic I want and open that and
Apply. I can follow this procedure say with 5 pics and then close Desktop
Properties. When I reopen DP only the last pic that I have put there is in
the list, the other four have disappeared from the list in Desktop.

This happens on hers as well as mine.

Can you see what I mean now please.

Works good for me.
