bus problem

I have had this problem before. Mouse doesn't work
independently of the enter key. Have to use the keyboard
to get the "start" menu to stay on the screen. Windows
work with clicking on them and then hitting enter. Best
Buy said something about a bus being overloaded. I want
to learn so I can fix it myself.

Help?!
