Ghosts

windows xp home--latest updates
I seem to have ghosts but very faint.
There is a vertical line about 1 half inch from the left side of the
screen also.
The mouse has it also and of course it effects the
reading of text.
Any ideas please?

try to adjust your screen back and forth using the manual monitor
controls...if it doesn't "unwrap"

check your video adapter settings for screen position
