Hi again,
We've installed SP2 on a Win XP machine, followed by the latest updates.
Right after that an existing project made with Adobe Encore DVD could not be
opened on the same machine. It was created before SP2 and the updates.
Did anybody had the same problem? Does anybody know why those MS updates
completely mess up thing on windows machines more and more frequently?
Thanks for any hint or suggestion,
Vince C.

there is more than enough information available about software
incompatability and sp2, I have installed sp2 on over 500 desktops with 2
minor glitches I don't call that messing up everyones pcs, but like anything
preperation is always the key

Go to Adobe's tech support site for information and updates to their
products. They have well-documented information about their products'
interaction with SP2.

I would love if MS let me chose... But then, old debate I recon. So you're
telling me it's mentioned in the "incompatibility list", basically? I did
see nothing with Google though. I might have searched in the wrong way.
Thanks.

Addedndum: note I never said "everyone's PC". Just that I (personally and
with my staff) can see problems due to (automatic) updates more and more
frequently.

Then call them! Maybe the issue isn't with SP2 and maybe it is, but
Adobe are the ones who can help.
