Can anyone please help.
This computer now takes 70 seconds to reach the desktop
after logging on. It used to access the desktop within
seconds after logging on.
This has happened after loading 'patches' from M'soft.
It also takes a long time to shut down.
I have defragged it (regularly)
Spec is...
1.2Gig CPU
256Meg RAM
40 Gig HDD ATA100 (29Gig free space)[correct 80 wire
cables for the HDD]
Software...
Win XP PRO (with service pack 1)
Vet antivirus
MS Office 97
CD/R & CD/RW drives
Aopen AK77-333 M/B
