Laptop shuts down several times a day no matter what I am
doing, starts up again normal with no error messages.
People are telling me to go to Toshiba power saver and
turn off all opitions but I have no opitions, it has full
power highlighted and no other opitions.

Gary,
Check with Toshiba about that certain Laptop for overheating issues. You
may need a bios update for that.

Several weeks ago, I downloaded the xp sp1a update and all
the updates that windows xp had. For several weeks, I had
no problems at all. Then, today my auto udates windows
comes on and wants to install. I did. I have had nothing
but problems today. It has crashed 3 times today. I'll
check out the bios thing, but something is not right in
windows XP updates.
