CPU Usage indicator running red

About a week ago, the performance "CPU usage" monitor in
Task manager started showing up red to some degree as it
showed CPU usage. What does the red in that indicator
mean? In Device manager, it says that there are no
problems with the CPU. Still the red has me uneasy. That
iw causing this?

View/Show Kernel Times - check/uncheck. Help/Task Manager/display
options, changing.
This fooled me for a while.
