hp pavilion with xp

hp pavilion 543w when updated w/ sp1 etc..for windows xp
you have to do a destructive system restore///is there a
fix or should i not run any updates??????????????
help,help---3 times i had this problem!!!!!!!!!

Check out the HP support pages for your system model. They have a
special download for you that relates to the SP1 update.
