Yes, you are correct, but Microsoft have yet to release
such a patch. This patch, when available, is to correct
the version "811493" security update which is the cause
of Performance Issues in XP SP1-Based computer. A
resolution until the corrected version becomes available
is to "Temporarily Remove the 811493 Update" using the
Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel and reboot. Thank
