oH does anyone knwo how to fix my problem? I get a reminder to change my
password at log on every 30 days or so, when I change the password it deletes
all the stored passwords on the computer and I have to reset them all. Is
there any way of stopping this reminder. It is a home computer and not
networked, I am the only user and have one other guest name.

From the Start menu choose Run... and type in gpedit.msc and hit enter.
This will load your local Group Policy settings. Drill down the following
in the left-hand window:
Local Computer Policy
-Computer Configuration
--Windows Settings
---Security Settings
----Account Policies
-----Password Policy
In the right-hand window of the Password Policy you will see a setting
called "Maximum password age" Changing this setting to 0 days will turn off
the in-built reminder to change your password after 30 days.
Hope this helps!

Go to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Computer Management.
Expand Local Users and Groups, click Users.
Double-click your user account in the right-hand pane and put a
tick in the "Password never expires" checkbox.
