Envelope Icon Stuck (?) In System Tray (Repost from IE6-OE newsgroup)

This was originally posted to the IE6-OE newsgroup. Maybe it's an XP issue
rather than OE?

When new mail arrives the envelope icon appears in the system tray. I have
preview on and mark mail as read after 1 second of preview. I rarely open an
email in a new window.

Working this way the envelope doesn't disappear after I have read email in
preview mode. Any way to get it to disappear after being previewed?

Should add - XP Home SP2 with all updates.

Also I realise that if I close OE the envelope disappears - but I don't want
to open each mail in a new window or close OE to resolve this.

Resolved - need to set 2 seconds instead of 1 (mark mail read).
