I have Windows XP Home Edition installed on my PC. I have a disc for Windows
XP professional. When I install professional, will I lose everything I have
installled?

Definitive answer? Maybe.
Doubtful - but whenever you are about to do something major - best to backup
what is most important to you..

Then while *in* Windows XP Home and assuming that you have a retail copy
(not OEM) of Windows XP Professional - insert the Windows XP CD and upgrade.
Unlikely you will need your backups - but better safe than without your
files forever.
