Hi, I may have a problem and I may not. I would like to see if one of the
experts can tell me. I am the only one who has ever used this computer. I was
attempting to add another user name. I named it "restricted" I got a message
" This account already exists" I tried other names, the accounts are set up,
but when I try to log in I get " unexpected error, will quit"
Can anyone tell me what's going on?
Thanks alot for any help.

Fox,

"Restricted" is a reserved name. Try any other name.

1. Is this the complete error message?
2. Are you able to proceed further after the error message, or you're pushed
back to the Welcome Screen?

The complete message is. " Unexpected error; quitting" I clicked, Ok, and
the error window went away and everything looked normal. Everything seems to
work ok except, when I try to go on line I get this error message. I tried 3
different names and they all do the same thing. The date on the message is
always the same ( 7/4/2005)

7/4/2005 12:24:34 gmt-Winmain
Can'tOpenlogFile Exception: Log File Path: "MainExceptions.Log", Open Mode:2
at Winmain (.\main.cpp:431)

Fox,

You may need to inspect the RUN (Startup entries) using MSCONFIG. Type
MSCONFIG in Start, Run and then switch to the Startup tab. Uncheck any
suspicious application and other optional entries:

http://www.sysinfo.org/startuplist.php (List of startup programs)

[MSConfig usage]
http://netsquirrel.com/msconfig/

I'm still here. lol I went into the (startup entries) everything looked ok
except one that didn't have a name, but it was checked. I unchecked it but it
didn't solve the problem. When I went back to recheck it, it was gone. As far
as I can tell right now, everything still works as it did. I can set up
Admin. accounts and they work ok but if I change them to (limited) they quit
working.

Looks like one of the startup programs needs Admin privileges to execute.

Yeah it sure looks like it...I guess I'll just be happy with one account. I
just wanted the limited acc. for security reasons anyway.
Thanks loads for all your help. You answered my original question. my main
concern was why I had a user named (restricted) that I didn't know about.
Thanks again. Have a nice day.
