I recently installed XP Service Pack 2 and am having a problem with other
computers(in the same domain) mapping to this computer. Previously, the
mappings worked fine.
Now, when i try and map i get a 'The network path could not be found' error.
On a computer that already had the drive mapped i get a 'The local device
name is already in use' error.
I can see the computer in the My Network Places-->Entire Network-->Microsoft
Windows Network...' but when trying to access it get the 'The network path
could not be found' error.
Any help is appreciated.
thanks
paul

Check in the new SP2 firewall. It may be turned ON and set to not allow
File/Printer sharing.

Yves,
It is checked off. Unfortunately, it's grayed out(its Group policy is set to
Yes).
When drilling into it's detail, under 'Change Scope', the Custom List radio
button is selected but that can't be changed because it is also grayed out.
Anyway to ungray them?
thanks
