Bought new Dell Dimention 8250 with windows xp installed.
it ran great. upgraded to windows xp pro and system is
noticeably slower, especially when booting up and mcafee
personal firewall starting. I have disabled the windows
firewall as recommended by mcafee, but no improvment.
I found a similar performance problem in the microsoft
knowledgebase when upgrading windows xp to windows xp SP
1 when using a firewall. I wonder if the same problem
plagues windows pro at sp 1?
Has anyone else run into this problem?
