windows shuts down

I have recently downloaded Windows XP and have had a
problem on and off since the start. It occurs when the
computer goes into sleep mode or power saver modes. When
i go to "wake it up" it goes right to a blue screent hat
is saying Windows is shutting down and then the computer
turns off or shuts down. I have played with the power
saver features with no help as well as the user account
and how the user log on with no help. This is a home
desktop computer with only one user needed. ANy advice
would be appreciated. CHris
