Hi

What makes you think a security patch has caused your
slowdown? Have you tried removing this patch?

I think you might find that it may have something to do
with Intels wonderful new Hyperthreading chunk of crap,
providing you are indeed running a P4 3ghz ... I've
experienced some 'wonderful' 'performance' from this
Wintel combo...I think I shall stick with AMD for now.....
