Screen blanks and reappears only when playing games

I've got a bit of an odd problem. ONLY while playing games like SWAT4, MADAGASCAR, THE INCREDIBLES, my screen blanks and reappears constantly. While using it for internet, or other applications I don't have any issues. These games do require Direct X 9.0(C) which I have. I have the latest ATI Radeon Drivers CATALYST 5. Any help would be appreciated.

Figured out the problem. I had screen res set to 1024x768. Game was set to 800x600. This is when the problems were happening. I set the game res to 1024x768, it fixed the problem. Really weird ?? I tried setting my video res to 800x600 and the game to 800x600 but that didn't work.

Any comments would be appreciated.
