When I click on the desktop icons for programs or
applications, the loading time is very excessive. I have
a 2gh system and it is much slower responding than my old
355mh system. I notice on the Task Manager that there
are a large number of processes running, that are using
large amounts of memory. Woud this be the cause of the
slow response time. If so, can I safely remove some of
the processes without affecting performance?
My platform is Windows XP Home version.
