Hi ,
I used to have a little computer icon next to the clock that showed by cable
connection at 10.0 Mbps . It let me know if I was online .
Then I got attacked by the lop.com commercial "trojan" and because it
rendered my IE 6 sp2 unusable , I had to reformat .
Everything now works OK except :
1. I often lose connection because of a SAS proxy problem which I fix with
comcast's ( my ISP ) fix software , which essentially has a restore point I
use .
Why does this happen ?
2. The little computer icon that let me know I was online and showed 10.0
Mbps is gone --- how do I get it back ?
I have the computer setup in Window XP " Classic Style "
Any help appreciated and thank you in advance .

Hi,
For #1, I would recreate the connection from scratch.
For #2, check the properties of the connection from the =
start/settings/networking folder. The option is on the general tab.

Thas SAS proxy is not needed. Here is a discussion of what it is, and
how to get rid of it:

Go to your network connection, select Properties. At the bottom of the
dialog is a checkbox to show the connection.
