Slowdown

I read a notice that Microsoft has a fix for performace
slowdows in XP on some computers that was released in the
last few days BUT is only available if you call Microsoft
Support. Anyone have the details on this issue and who to
contact to get the fix ???

Did you read the messages about "computer slowdown" a few messages down the
line ??
Did you download update 811493 by any chance ?? That might be your problem.
