AJ,

Right click your desktop then Desktop/Customize Desktop/ and uncheck "My
Documents".

Try this: Right click desktop, select "Properties", select "Desktop" tab,
select "Customize Desktop" button near bottom of page and finally uncheck
"My Documents"
