printer spooler will not start..

Can someone PLEASE help me????
I had a printer working one day and not the next. It's an epson r800
The printer spooler service is not running, and when I try to start it it
comes up with error 1059: Circular service dependency was specified.
I have deleted the registry entries relating to this printer after reading
several posts, but this still does not help. AAARGH!
