updates will not install

everytime i try to install the updates after they are
downloaded it says they failed to install. Help???

This is caused by a corrupt 'catroot2' file. To fix, Go to
C:windows/system32 and find the file 'catroot2'. Rename to anything such as
catold. Reboot, download and install. A new catroot2 file will be generated.
