scan for viruses!! defrag your drives, do you have enough
RAM? is your drive filling up? disable all that automatic
updating checking for this and that XP is doing for you,
check how much system restore is using on your drives, in
general performance declines over time because your system
is bogged down with a bunch of crud, like my arteries
