I would say that you had a virus on the machine when you
installed XP. Even when you fdisk and clean install there
can be a virus on the harddrive. You must debug the
harddrive before installing. With DELL, I called them and
asked them to walk me through the initial install
process... which they did gladly. It's a VERY simple
process. I'd try a reinstall (as PAINFUL) as that is,
first debugging before reinstalling this time.
