When I try to fix file system errors after using scandisk,
I get "chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by
another process". It asks me if I want to schedule
scandisk to run at startup...I say OK. When the computer
starts, scandisk then says "Cannot open volume for direct
access" and starts up without fixing the disk. What's up
with that??? Any ideas? Is this just a quirk with Windows
XP because it is an NTFS?
