Settings for Upgraded RAM?

I'm running a Dell P4 2.2 GHz. I just upgraded from 256 to 768 Meg of
ram because I noticed doggy behavior. It seemed to start happening
all of the sudden, but I don't know if it is related to a specific
program I installed.

Anyway, it's much snappier now. I'm just wondering if XP is good at
self adjusting for the added memory, or if there are some twaeks I may
need need to do.
