hi, ppl
i wanted to format a drive on windows xp... well its notr
actually a full drive its like one of those drives after
a partition of the hard disk. now the thing is it doesnt
have any data on it, thw windows and programs are on the
other drive. but since it is empty it still shows 1 gb
used. i want to format this drive but, windows wont
format it, says that its being used by windows or a
program...

i tried in the command prompt and it asks me that if i
want to force a dismount...

what should i do?

Sherry;
If it is a partition other than the partition windows is on, use Disk
Management:
Reboot computer first
