backups from 98 to XP a pain

I've tried to restore my backups from Win98 in XP but
only to realize that I cannot. 98 uses a .qic extension
while XP uses .bkt

Is is possible to restore the files without having to
reinstall 98, or having to find a 'friend' with a win98
computer, etc etc etc...

Is there a program out there that I can use?

You may have success restoring Win 9X backups (.qic files)
