I am running Windows XP and when my computer freezes, I
can not use control-alt-delete. Is this a bug in Windows
XP, or is it my system?

My own experience with system freezes boiled down to two hardware items:
1. defective mouse
2. defective video card
With one computer, it was in fact a defective mouse. With another, it =
was
a defective video card adapter. It tool several weeks to pinpoint the=20
problems, but replacing the hardware solved the problem. How or why
these items turned defective is anyone's guess. There were never any
error messages generated by Windows XP when the freezes occurred.

I'm a new XP user so I may not have the best answer but in my experience,
the way to emulate the function of CTRL+ALT+DEL in XP is to punch the three
keys and then Task Manager comes up. Click on the Applications tab. Select
the program you wish to end and click on End Task.
