Turn Off System Beeps
This tweak prevents the system beeps from being audible
without altering any other audio settings.
[Start] [Run] [Regedit]
Registry Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Sound
Modify/Create the Value Data Type(s) and Value Name(s) as
detailed below.
Data Type: REG_SZ [String Value] // Value Name: Beeps
Setting for Value Data: [0 = Disabled / 1 = Enabled]
Exit Registry and Reboot
Note you can save the registry key first by:
On the File menu, click Export.
In the File name box, type SaveKey, and then click Save.
Or create a system restore point prior to editing.
Note: If the registry key is not there, you can simply
create one by going edit > new.
Editing the registry is done so at your own risk......
