on my desktop computer I run XP Home and I have a problem
with
windows explorer. On boot up it says it can't
find "shdocvw.dll" and I need to reinstall the program.
after that all I get is the mouse but nothing to click on
this is what I have tried so far 1. I have run system
restore by way of the task manager 2. boot to win xp cd
and run repair "Kept asking for a password" 3. run setup
then choose the repair option it gets to 78% copied then
says it can't copy "shdocvw.dll from cd. Of course the dll
is in windows\system32 when I look for it in dos.
