Since upgrading my computer from Me to XP, I have been
experiencing problems. I realized that my computer still
had the NAV (Norton) installed during this upgrade.
Afterwards, I tried to uninstall NAV, but received
problems. Then, I followed the exact steps through
Symantec's site, and reinstalled NAV...but the install
ended prematurely. Here's the problem now. My computer
does not function any sort of javascript! Yes, I cannot
access certain web pages, etc. The java does not work.

What do you think happened here? Do I have a virus or was
something erased from my system? Your help would be
appreciated.

Download & Install MS Virtual Machine=20
http://www.biologylab.awlonline.com/ms_javavm.php

Note: After installing VM, visit the Windows Update
website and install the latest security update for it.

Downloading Java will do NOTHING as this is javaSCRIPT and NOT Java.

To the OP, try this. Fire up IE, go to Help and About. Are the Version,
Cipher Strength and Product ID fields blank?

Yes?

Do this, go to Start -> Run and type in the following:

regsvr32 jscript.dll

Click OK and now when you check the version, everything will be hunky dorey!

Regards,

Tim
