Lotus 1-2-3 has capability and performance problems with
Windows XP sometimes. Sometimes the screen becoems black
and I have to keep restarting to get it to work. I have
lost vital and crucial information this way. Is there
anyway I can make Lotus 1-2-3 compatible 100% to XP? Or
even better, how could I change all my documents from
Lotus to fit Excel? Help on this would be very crucial
and is needed as soon as possible. Thank you very much.

for video drivers / patches etc for 123 to work properly in Windows XP.
Back your data up first though before applying these Lotus fixes!
In Microsoft Excel, I always been able to load 123 files into Excel without
any problems. Much as it goes against the grain, if you have Excel then use
it in preference to 123 and use the Excel help if there are any
incompatibilities.

I would advise going with Excel. To open Lotus files with Excel -- you have to
save the file in Lotus as a .wk4 format, then just open as normal with Excel.
If the file ext is .123 Excel can not open it
